David Willey was born on February 28, 1990 (age 29 Years) in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. His father Peter Willey is a former England all-rounder who turned into international umpire and mother name is not known.

David Willey Career:
He made his first-class debut for his home team Northamptonshire against Leicestershire in the County Championship Division Two on April 15, 2009. During the match against Leicestershire which was his father’s old club,the all-rounder smashed 60 runs and built a tall partnership with Andrew Hall.
On April 19, 2009, Willey made his List A debut against Essex in the Friends Provident Trophy and could only manage a duck. He made his T20 debut against Warwickshire in the Midlands/Wales/West Division, T20 Cup at Northampton on May 25, 2009.
While playing a match against Worcestershire, he bowled a top-class spell taking 3 wickets for just 9 runs and finished off the season with an average of 11.30.
In 2013, Willey played an instrumental role for Northamptonshire in the Friends Life T20 Final against Surrey. During the Final match, Willey showed a memorable all-round performance by hitting a 19 ball half-century which was the fastest fifty of the season and took 4 wickets for just 9 runs including a match-ending hat-trick to clean up the tail.
He made his ODI debut against Ireland on May 8, 2015 and T20I debut against New Zealand at Manchester on 23 June 2015.
On 1 May 2016, Willey made his debut for Yorkshire against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge. Later, Perth Scorchers signed him for the 2015-16 BBL season. After his consistent performance in the season he was retained for the next two BBL seasons as the only overseas player for the club.
In the 2016 T20 World Cup, Willey played a crucial role for England and also bowled well in the Final against West Indies taking figures 3-20 respectively but his sensational spell went in vain as they lost the game.
In the Indian Premier League 2018, Chennai Super Kings signed David Willey due to the back to back injuries of KedharJadhav and Mitchell Santner. He played three games in the season and picked up a couple of wickets. Ahead of the IPL 2019, he was retained by the Chennai Super Kings at the auction.
David Willey played along with MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and others in the Indian Premier League. He also played along with Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Jos Buttler and many more in international cricket.
